Teaming up with Experiences for Mankind, I undertook the revamp of the Rescu mobile app's onboarding experience. The Rescu App plays a critical role in saving lives, providing swift assistance during emergencies. By offering real-time help, it circumvents delays often encountered with public dispatch services, ensuring immediate aid when needed most.

The problem
The prior mobile app onboarding experience fell short, neglecting to inform users about Rescu's offerings and value propositions. Moreover, it was outdated, inconsistently styled, unfriendly to users, and ineffective in gathering user data.

Wireframes
Given that emergency situations often induce anxiety and stress, it was important to mindfully map out an onboarding experience that flowed intuitively, guiding users seamlessly through each step of progression. We planned to utilize elements like progress trackers, skip and back links, and simplified layouts to enhance a seamless and delightful user journey.
Defining a visual system
A comprehensive style sheet was designed to establish user familiarity and consistency of the brand. This visual guide significantly assisted engineers in implementing the onboarding experience during development.
Educational moments
Ensuring new users understood the value of the Rescu service was crucial. We included clear infographics illustrating the time difference between traditional 9-1-1 services and Rescu's rapid response, a digital private dispatch, and distinct branded iconography to convey a clear message.
